Generally, Nadroparin Calcium Injection cannot be used with the following drugs:Acetylsalicylic acid (analgesic, antipyretic dose), Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics, Dextran and Ticlopidine.
Acetylsalicylic acid
When acetylsalicylic acid is used in antipyretic and analgesic doses (including its derivatives and other salicylic acid preparations).
Increased risk of bleeding (salicylic acid preparations inhibit platelet function and erode the gastroduodenal mucosa), non-salicylic acid antipyretic analgesics can be used.
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics, such as paracetamol infusion, metamizole injection, inhibit platelet function and erode the gastroduodenal mucosa. Using in combination increases the risk of bleeding . if combined use is necessary, clinical monitoring should be strengthened.
Dextran 40 (parenteral route)
Increased risk of bleeding (inhibition of platelet function by dextran 40).
Ticlopidine
Increased risk of bleeding (ticlopidine inhibits platelet function).
Besides, take special care when combined with the following drugs
- Corticosteroids (glucocorticoids, systemically administered)
Corticosteroids can increase the risk of bleeding (gastrointestinal mucosa, vascular fragility) following heparin use, especially at high doses or for longer than 10 days.
Dosage adjustments and enhanced monitoring are necessary when combined.
- There is a potential bleeding risk when acetylsalicylic acid is used in antiplatelet doses (for unstable angina, non-Q-wave myocardial infarction). Routine clinical monitoring.
Nadroparin calcium should be administered with caution in patients receiving oral anticoagulants, systemic corticosteroids, and dextran. When a patient receiving nadroparin calcium is initiated on oral anticoagulant therapy, nadroparin calcium should be continued until the international normative ratio stabilizes at the target value.
Nadroparin Calcium Injection manufacturer will print the drug interactions and other important information on leaflet. Be careful to look it carefully before using.
